Billing
AKM Consulting bills hourly for productive time completed either at our location or yours. Consulting or support provided via phone, email, or in person will be billed in 15 minute increments. If an on-site visit to your firm or office is not required and your call takes less than 7 minutes, there will be no charges. There will be a minimum 1/2 hr charge for onsite visits. Discounts may be available by contract or retainer.
Terms
For those clients committing to a number of hours each month, retainers are due in advance at the beginning of the month. All other terms are Net 15 of invoice unless otherwise specified by contract. All accounts over 30 days are subject to a finance charge of 1.5% per month. If your business requires different terms, please discuss your needs with us and we may be able to accommodate you.

Strategic review of existing Discovery Strategy | Develop or review a Strategic Discovery Plan that aligns with and supports the case strategy | AKM Consulting has significant experience and
expertise in discovery and data recovery to support both criminal and
civil litigation. We also offer expert witness and deposition support on
a wide variety of subjects.
1Standard rate applies weekdays between 9:00am and 5:30pm.
2Premium time is defined as anytime outside of
normal business hours as well as weekends and nationally recognized
holidays. This rate will be charged when work must be performed outside
of normal business hours and you are aware of the overtime before work
is performed. Occasionally we
perform work outside of normal hours because it is convenient for us.
During those times premium rates will not apply. |

Hardware/Software/Costs Pricing
We require 50% down on any purchases made through us that are between $750.00 and $1500.00. We require 100% down on any purchases made through us that are over $1500.00.
Our goal is to help you locate and purchase the best solutions for your specific needs at the best possible prices. In other words... we are consultants -- not your bank.
Block Time
Due to requests from many of our customers, we are offering a new service feature, which will allow our customers to save money using our services with a fixed rate strategy. We now offer you the opportunity to purchase blocks of time at a reduced rate. Through the purchase of a block of time you will have access to our full service and support staff. Block time covers hours used for service and/or support. If premium time is requested for issue resolution, the time can be applied to your pre-paid block of time at the premium rate or billed separately from your prepaid time.
This option is for pre-payment of time only, and does not include any costs associated with products purchased. Mileage will not be included in the block time and will also be billed separate. There will be a minimum of a ½ hr charge for onsite visits.
